Surveillance & evidence

Turning laboratory and antimicrobial use data into evidence for action.

Surveillance helps identify resistance patterns, understand antimicrobial use and guide prevention and treatment policy. Kenya’s national plan prioritises stronger laboratory systems, consistent reporting and evidence use across sectors.

Priorities

  • Strengthen AMR surveillance and laboratory capacity.
  • Improve the quality and use of resistance and antimicrobial consumption data.
